B500A/B500B/B500C Rebar
The differences between the, B and C designations are complex and related to structural tolerances. For steel mesh products, B500A grade steel is usually used, and for steel bars, B500B grade steel is used. B500C steel is rarely required, and it is always worthwhile for structural engineers to check whether B500B grade steel can be used instead of B500C, because B500C usually has a significant cost overhead.
ASTM A615 Concrete Rebar Grade 40
A615 grade 40 steel adds the most benefit when building materials must hold concrete in compression. Strength is one of the differentiators for these two rebar grades. The minimum tensile strength for A615 grade 40 steel is 70.05 ksi. It has a minimum yield strength of 40 ksi.
Deformed Rebar
Deformed bar, also known as rebar (short for reinforcing bar), is a steel bar or mesh of steel wires used as tension devices in reinforced concrete and reinforced masonry structures to strengthen and hold the concrete in tension. Deformed bar’s surface is often patterned to form a better bond with the concrete.
Welded Wire Mesh
Welded Wire Mesh is a grid-shaped reinforcement material made of cold-rolled ribbed or smooth steel bars welded by resistance welding. The longitudinal and transverse steel bars are arranged at right angles, with steel bar diameters ranging from 4mm to 12mm and spacing being an integer multiple of either 50mm or 25mm. It can enhance the integrity of concrete structures and is widely used in various reinforced concrete projects such as highways, bridges, airports and tunnels.
Epoxy Resin Coated Steel Bar
Epoxy resin coated steel bar is an epoxy resin protective coating prepared on the surface of ordinary steel bar by electrostatic spraying powder high temperature sintering process. The coating has excellent chemical corrosion resistance and does not react with acid and alkali. And the coating has anti-permeability, so it can delay the corrosion medium (such as water, oxygen, chloride, etc.) contact with the steel, so that its corrosion resistance life is greatly extended. China's epoxy coated steel bars adopt national standards GB/T 25826-2010 and Ministry of Housing and Construction standard JG/T 502-2016 (replacing JG 3042-1997). American standards are ASTM A775/A775M and ASTM A934/A934M, and British standard is BS ISO 14654.
HPB300/HRB335/HRB400/HRB500 Reinforcement
HPB300 (Grade I) is a prevalent steel bar with a diameter of 6-12mm, commonly utilized in the production of stirrups, wall reinforcement, and similar applications. HRB335 (Grade II) is a threaded steel with a diameter of 12-25mm, frequently employed in bridges, dams, houses, and other large and medium-sized concrete structures for beams, columns, and shear walls. HRB400 (Grade III) shares similarities with HRB335 but is stronger and more costly, often used in special buildings such as villas. HRB500 (Grade IV) finds widespread use in large prestressed buildings, including roofs, crane beams, and more.
